Tony and MaryJane Lastufka has been taking guests on kayaking tours for over 20 years now. You will leave from their beach in Kastistna Bay and your excursion will be safe, memorable and educational. You may also stay overnight in their cozy platform tents. After a day of exploring the local tide pools, you will end up back at your comfortable tent, with the option of a hot sauna. A delicious dinner, featuring salmon caught by local setnetters, is the perfect end to a wonderful day.

At low tide, you may explore the intertidal zone abundant with sea stars, anemomes, octopi and blue mussels. Within this miniature universe you will learn how the creatures of the intertidal zone adapt to our amazing 28 ft. vertical tides. Their sleek, wide beam, fiberglass kayaks offer stability and smooth paddling. Instruction on safety and kayaking techniques is provided and novice paddlers can be accompanied by an experienced guide in the double kayak.

Rick, a licensed Coast Guard boastman, will safely guide you to hot fishing holes or to untracked beaches, peaceful coves and lush forests.
